Three takeaways from Blue Jackets 4-1 loss to Anaheim

One: Repeating myself from 24 hours ago, it was another less than 60 minute game for the Blue Jackets. Yes, this was the second game of back-to-back games, but they've been on the West coast since Monday. There really is no excuse for tired legs.

Two: Although they played better in the second half of the first period, they regressed in the second period. The passing was less than crisp throughout the game. They had trouble clearing the zone and had too many turnovers. With Anaheim not as flustered as San Jose the night before, they needed to be much sharper.

Three: The Blue Jackets really resembled an Eastern Conference team that played the night before. They never really got their game going and the forecheck was missing from large chunks of the game. The bottom line is that this was a poor team effort. They will see the same result on Sunday against the Kings if they don't play their game the way they can.
