The sports media activated full-blown Derek Jeter mode this week as "The Captain" neared his final curtain call at Yankee Stadium. It's game back on because Thursday night #Captain delivered in dramatic fashion with a ninth inning walk-off RBI single.
Yes, FOXSports.com and Buzzer (and yours truly) is guilty of serving a Costco-sized quantity of Jeter-ness these past couple weeks (here, here, here, here, here and so on).
Maybe you're sick of it, maybe you want to bury your muzzle in a pair of Jeter's socks, maybe you don't like the way his reverers call him The Captain, as if there is no other captain. With due respect to the Yankees' captain, how about a tip of the cap to these extraordinary folks? #RE2PECT:
