Things Brad Keselowski Likes: Racing Kyle Busch, "Back To The Future" & Beer In A Glass
Brad Keselowski hosted a Reddit.com AMA (Ask Me Anything) today.
The 2012 Sprint Cup Champion answered fan questions on topics ranging from dating to social media to who he loves racing against.
Here are some highlights (his answers are in bold).
If you have a bad car on Friday, can you tell right away if can or cannot be tuned up to be competitive on Sunday?
9 times out of 10, if your car's not good on Friday it won't be good on Sunday, but you have to keep trying because that 10th time could make all the difference in the world.
Which driver besides yourself would you be a fan of if you weren't driving?
I can answer that by saying that I used to be a Kyle Petty fan as a kid because he showed a lot of personality. So, probably any driver with a lot of personality.
Who is your favorite driver to race against?
Favorite driver to race against is Kyle Busch, because I think he's really talented and when you beat him, it's been really hard to do. You know you've earned it.

Given your experience with owning Brad Keselowski racing, do you think going into (Sprint Cup) team ownership full-time after you hang up the helmet a possibility?
Can't say I have any interest in losing money, so no.
Doc Brown from Back to the Future appears out of nowhere in his time machine/DeLorean. You are offered the opportunity to go back in time and compete in NASCAR in any ONE year from the history of the sport. Which year do you choose to race in, and why?
This is an awesome question. I'm a huge Back to the Future fan. I'm leaning towards either 1970, before they banned the winged cars, or 1998 - probably 1998 because you had Earnhardt still in his prime, Gordon was in his prime, Rusty was in his prime, Mark Martin, too. Dale Jarrett was really starting to hit his stride. That would have been a really competitive year - the sport was really turning a corner then, too.
Who do you think was the greatest driver ever?
I don't know how you pick. It's easy to say Earnhardt, Petty and Pearson, but I would have liked to have known how good Tim Richmond would have been.
How has your use of social media helped and hurt you?
I think it help me outreach to the fans in a new way that's relevant - that's the good side. The bad side is someone is always trying to tempt me into saying something I shouldn't.
What do you want your legacy to be?
I want my legacy to be that of a champion that moved the sport forward.
What matters more to you now...winning at your home track MIS...or winning the daytona 500.
