Thad Matta picked up a new Buckeye on Sunday afternoon when Austin Grandstaff verbally committed to Ohio State.

A four-star prospect ranked the No. 12 shooting guard in the country by Scout.com, Grandstaff is the third player to commit to Ohio State for 2015. The Rockwall, Texas, player joins four-star point guard A.J. Harris of Dayton Dunbar and four-star power forward Mickey Mitchell of Plano (Texas) West Senior.

"He is a big-time scorer who is an elite shooter," Scout national recruiting analyst Brian Snow told FOX Sports Ohio. "Grandstaff is also a very efficient player who is solid handling the basketball. This is a big pickup for Matta."

The No. 47 overall prospect nationally, Grandstaff also counted offers from Florida, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas A&M and UNLV.
