HOUSTON (AP) -- Texas A&M has suspended Zaycoven Henderson and A.J. Hilliard for the first two games of the season for violating athletic department rules.

The announcement was made just before the Aggies took the field for their opener against No. 15 Arizona State on Saturday night.

Henderson is a sophomore defensive tackle, and Hilliard is a junior middle linebacker.

Henderson had 13 tackles in 11 games last season and Hilliard had three tackles and a sack before breaking his ankle in the season opener and missing the rest of the season.
