Texans' Watt finding more ways to display offensive skills in Pro Bowl

Published Jan. 23, 2015 9:25 p.m. ET

Since lining up and catching touchdowns on offense has nearly become routine for J.J. Watt after the 2014 season, the Houston Texans defensive star had to find a way to broaden his horizons even more.

So now, he's moved on to kicking field goals.

During practice in Arizona in the days leading up to the Pro Bowl, where Watt is serving as one of the team captains on 'Team Carter,' he decided to cap off practice with a field goal attempt.

In what is assumed to be his first try -- it was good, right down the middle of the goal post.

The opposition, 'Team Irvin,' will have their hands full with Watt, as he will likely line up on offense a few times as well by the looks of another video from practice.

It should also be noted, the pass in the above video was from Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Kyle Williams.

So with defensive linemen kicking field goals, along with catching and throwing touchdowns, is Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh - who is serving as coach of 'Team Carter' - cooking up some plays for Watt on offense?

"That might be something we could have up our sleeves, absolutely," Harbaugh told NFL.com. "We got a couple ideas. You got a lot of guys with skills out there."

In the Pro Bowl, why not have some fun playing out of position? After all, the Texans had no problems looking to Watt three times in the regular season for touchdowns.
