Texans' Schaub exits with injury, Yates throws pick-6
HOUSTON (AP) -- Houston quarterback Matt Schaub has left Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams in the third quarter with an apparent right ankle injury.
Schaub was injured when he was sacked by Chris Long late in the third quarter. He remained on the turf for a few minutes before trainers helped him as he hobbled off the field.
He was replaced by backup T.J. Yates, who took over with the Texans trailing the Rams 31-6. Schaub had thrown an interception for a touchdown in four straight games entering Sunday.
Yates made it five in a row for Houston when his first drive ended with a 98-yard interception return for a score by Alec Ogletree.
Also hurt in the third quarter was Houston safety Danieal Manning, who left with a right knee injury. The team says his return is questionable.
