NEW YORK (AP) - After 20 hours to think about their next pick in the NFL draft, the Houston Texans went for a blocker.

To barely a whimper of reaction from the Radio City Music Hall crowd, Houston opened the second round Friday night by selecting UCLA guard Xavier Su'a-Filo. He joins the first overall pick, defensive disrupter Jadeveon Clowney of South Carolina, as a Texan.

The two of them can have fun colliding against each other in minicamps and training camp. The 6-foot-4, 307-pound Su'a-Filo, who went on a Mormon mission while in college, also has played tackle.

Dallas got the fans excited by trading with division archrival Washington for the next slot. But, again, there was little response in the theater when the Cowboys took Boise State defensive end Demarcus Lawrence, who they hope will emulate their departed sacks leader with the same first name, DeMarcus Ware, now with Denver.

Cleveland, more active than any team in the first round, added a protector for Johnny Manziel by grabbing guard Joel Bitonio of Nevada, who also can play tackle or center. The Browns caused the biggest stir on opening night when they traded up to No. 22 to get Johnny Football.

Oakland made the biggest early noise Friday night when it picked Fresno State quarterback Derek Carr, the younger brother of 2002 top overall selection David Carr. Hall of Famer Willie Brown announced the choice and, finally, Radio City got loud.
