Texans' O'Brien: Not enough reps for four QBs

The Houston Texans currently have four quarterbacks on their roster, however head coach Bill O'Brien hinted one of the four's days with the team could be numbered.

"Anytime you have four, I don't think it's easy to divide the reps," O'Brien told NFL.com Monday. "I think you can really get three guys reps in a practice, which is basically what we've been doing, and I know that's probably not the easiest thing for those guys."

O'Brien made it clear when the Texans opened OTAs the quarterbacks would have a "wide open" competition, but now without enough work to go around, either T.J. Yates or Case Keenum will likely be heading out of Houston rather than offseason signee Ryan Fitzpatrick or rookie draft pick Tom Savage.

"We haven't really talked about the roster yet as it relates to training camp... It's a very competitive situation," O'Brien said.
