Texans' Kubiak on returning to sideline: 'Count on it'
The Houston Texans need all the help they can get to get back on track.
Head coach Gary Kubiak could be providing a spark.
Kubiak, who suffered a mini-stoke in Week 9, plans on coaching from the sideline when the Texans host the New England Patriots on Sunday, according to a report from the Houston Chronicle.
Doctors haven't cleared Kubiak to return, but he fully intends on being back on the field.
"Count on it," he told the Houston Chronicle on Friday.
Since being released from the hospital, Kubiak has been coaching from the press box-area the past two games.
Defensive coordinator Wade Phillips served as the interim head coach in Week 10 against the Arizona Cardinals.
The Texans entered the 2013 season with championship expectations, but they're currently on a nine-game losing skid.
