Terry setting Celtics up for title run?

Before the 2010-11 NBA season, Jason Terry famously got a tattoo of the Larry O'Brien Trophy on his right inner bicep, despite never winning a title himself.

A few months later, Terry and the rest of his Dallas Mavericks teammates here holding the NBA title above their heads on the floor of the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami.

If the tattoo had any part in bringing home the first title in Dallas' franchise history, then Terry's new teammates in Boston are going to be thrilled with the way their new shooting guard spent his weekend.

Terry tweeted pictures this weekend of his new tattoo...the famous Boston Celtics leprechaun balancing the Larry O'Brien trophy on his finger. The tattoo is on his left inner bicep.

"Go Green!" Terry tweeted along with the picture.

Terry vowed to remove the tattoo in 2011 if Dallas did not bring home the championship, but no word yet on if that same thought holds true this season in Boston.

The Celtics signed Terry this offseason to a three-year, $15.6 million deal.  Terry will fill the hole left by Ray Allen, who signed with Miami.
