Tim Tebow appeared on The Dan Patrick Show Tuesday morning. Read below for his thoughts on Denver's coaching situation and his reaction to Urban Meyer's decision to step down.

How important is that new head coach that comes in with your future?

"Well I'm not too concerned with that. I'm not really worried about what I can't control. I'm just going to worry about what I can control. When we do hire a new coach have him start learning the playbook immediately and try to get ready for OTA's and try to impress him with my work ethic and show him I can be a successful quarterback in this league."

Have you changed anything in your game?

"I think I've improved a lot. I think I've improved a lot of my footwork, body position, balance and different things with my throwing motion. So I think I'm improving and I think I'm going to try and continue to improve."

John Elway is taking over in the front office. Have you talked to him?

"I have talked to him, he's been very supportive all year long and I have a great relationship with him and to have that support has been great especially over the last few weeks and everything. So I'm very excited to have him and I think he'll do a great job."

How did you find out about Urban Meyer stepping down?

"I talked to him a few minutes before he did that. He told me. I congratulated him on that because I knew it was the right decision for him and his family. I'm looking forward to him being with his family and I think that's going to be great for Coach Meyer and I think he made the right decision. It's hard to step down from a dream job like this but there's some things that are more important than football and the platform that comes with that. I'm proud of him for making that decision."

In Florida, The Dan Patrick Show airs weekdays on FOX Sports Florida from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
