Tampa Bay shut out by Red Sox pitching

FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) -- Daniel Bard and Alfredo Aceves tossed three innings apiece, and the Boston Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays 5-0 on Saturday night.

Bard allowed two hits, struck out one and walked two. Aceves then came in and allowed two hits with two strikeouts and no walks.

Bard and Aceves are attempting to move from the bullpen to the starting rotation.

Rays starter Wade Davis pitched 2 2-3 innings and was charged with four runs, two earned, and three hits. The right-hander walked four and struck out two.

Rays third baseman Jeff Keppinger went 2 for 3 and is batting .385 this spring.
