Tale of two Texans: Mallett out, Foster targets Week 13 return
Texans RB Arian Foster, who hasn't played since Week 9 due to a groin injury, hopes to return against the Texans in Week 13. On Monday, head coach Bill O'Brien said, "He feels better today, and hopefully, he'll be out there at practice." This information doesn't make Foster a lock to play, but his fantasy owners should stay hopeful and keep a close eye on his practice status as the week progresses.
If Foster does play, he'll probably get his handoffs from Ryan Fitzpatrick, as QB Ryan Mallett is reportedly done for the season due to a torn pectoral muscle.

What did we learn from Monday's Ravens-Saints matchup, besides the fact that the NFC South is threatening to give us a six-win division champion? That Kenny Stills appears to be a viable WR3 in Brandin Cooks' absence. Stills was targeted nine times, catching eight passes for 98 yards. He's owned in just 23.4 percent of FOXSports.com leagues.
From Jets-Bills, we learned ... well, nothing, because the Jets are horrendous. They don't know who will start at quarterback this week, but the guess here is Geno Smith. On Monday, the Jets host the Dolphins, whose DST is still available in 32.1 percent of FOXSports.com leagues.
Raiders RB Latavius Murray did not practice Monday, and must clear all hurdles in the NFL's concussion protocol before being allowed to play. We should know more on Wednesday.
Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch missed some of Sunday's game due to an illness and back issues, but the team seems to think he'll play on Thursday night.

Speaking of noncommittal, the Redskins don't sound sure that they're going to start Robert Griffin III this week.

Really liked Joel Beall's "Five Takeaways from Week 12," even if he used it to take a cheap shot at me. Check it out.
Speaking of Joel, he'll be in the FOXSports.com fantasy football chat room today at 3 p.m. ET, and we'll have a pregame chat on Thursday.
See you back here Friday morning.
