Looking at a box score is something anyone can do. Who lead my team in scoring? How'd we shoot from the field? And while that knowledge is useful, does it really earn you bonus points around the water cooler? That's why I'm here. I'm bringing you the S.W.I.M: Statistics Worth Increased Media. Let Joe from accounting regurgitate what he heard on the way in this morning; you're better than that. Use these nuggets to gain a unique perspective about last night's Pelicans/Clippers game.

Anthony Morrow tallied20 points on 66.7 percent and 4 rebounds at half time. Not only are those numbers far and above his season numbers (6.9 points and 1.6 rebounds) for an entire game, they blow his Wednesday numbers out of the water. Over his last nine Hump Days, Morrow averaged just 5.2 points on 32 percent shooting.

The Pelicans have won six straight games where Tyreke Evans recorded multiple steals.

New Orleans improved to 6-1 in the last seven games in which Al-Farouq Aminu recorded more assists than the game prior.

Darius Miller is averaging less than three pointers per game this season, yet he is averaging 10.5 points on the 26th/27th day of the month this year.

Alexis Ajinca has three double doubles this season and all three have come against "Lob City"€.

New Orleans is a perfect 8-0 this month when Anthony Davis attempts at least 15, but no more than 26, shots.

For the first time against a playoff team this season, Davis' AB (assists plus blocks) total reached double figures (five such games against lottery teams).

Darren Collison dished out six-plus assists for the second game, not bad for a player who had gone 15 straight games without such a performance before this recent run.

The Clippers had won ten straight games when Matt Barnes makes multiple three pointers and 14 of the last 15 in which he has scored 10-plus points: he did both in a losing effort against the Pelicans.

Jamal Crawford has attempted 34 three pointers in three games against New Orleans this year.

Glen Davis is shooting 73.3 percent from the field on the road as a member of the Clippers this season.

DeAndre Jordan hasn't scored more than ten points in a game with three-plus blocks this month (five occurrences).
