After an impressive run and some fun times in the Las Vegas Summer League, Coach David Blatt, No. 1 overall draft pick Andrew Wiggins and the Cavaliers conclude play Friday night vs. the Miami Heat.
Tip-off is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET. The game will be televised by NBA TV and can be viewed on NBA.com.
In his first time leading an NBA club, Blatt started summer play by winning his first three games. However, the Cavs lost their opening game of the tournament, 96-90, to the Houston Rockets on Thursday to fall into the consolation bracket.
Wiggins and Anthony Bennett have been two big reasons for hope, as have point guards Matthew Dellavedova and Will Cherry.
"I think this week was a good learning experience for the whole team," Wiggins told cavs.com following Friday's shootaround. "We're really building the chemistry on the team, getting to know how one another play, understanding how Coach Blatt coaches, understanding the system."
Wiggins leads the summer Cavs in scoring at 15.5 points per game, while Cherry comes in at 13.8 per game. Bennett, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 draft, is averaging 13.3 points and Dellavedova is scoring 11.7 and passing for 4.7 assists per game. Dellavedova, entering his second season, did not play Thursday and won't be available Friday. He is preparing to practice with the Australian national team.
Cherry spent last season with the Canton Charge, the Cavs' affiliate in the NBA D-League.
Second-round pick Joe Harris, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard, is adding 6.7 points for the Cavs.
Second-year center Justin Hamilton leads the Heat with 18 ppg.
