COLUMBUS -- Ohio State freshman center Jared Sullinger confirmed being spat upon twice in the second-ranked Buckeyes' loss Saturday at Wisconsin.
"As far as that incident, it's over with," Sullinger said last night after OSU's 71-61 victory over Michigan State at Value City Arena. "It happened. Some people say, 'It didn't happen. It didn't happen'...It's over."
Sullinger made the allegations that fans spat on him in a Twitter post after OSU's 71-67 loss at the Kohl Center.
He had not directly addressed questions about the incident until last night.
He said both spitting incidents occurred in the tunnel, first en route to the court before the game and then a second time after the game.
"I was running through the tunnel," Sullinger said. "But like I said, it's said and done. As far as commenting on it, I'm done talking about it."
