Suh shows up for Lions' first OTA

Ndamukong Suh, the All-Pro defensive tackle for the Detroit Lions, showed up for Tuesday's first day of the team's voluntary OTA (Organized Team Activities) practices, just as coach Jim Caldwell had said he would a couple days earlier.

Suh, who can become an unrestricted free agent after the 2014 season if he doesn't sign a contract extension, had missed the first part of the Lions' off-season voluntary program, including a three-day mini-camp.

Wednesday's practice is open to the media, after which Suh could be available for an interview. He has been highly criticized by fans and the media for failing to show leadership by attending the earlier workouts, but his coach and teammates have publicly supported him.
