Startup Nation rallied from last to first with a powerful move around the turn and sprinted clear to a 4-1/2-length victory Thursday in the Grade 2 With Anticipation Stakes at Saratoga Race Course.

Ridden by Joel Rosario, the 2-year-old colt ran 1-1/16 miles in 1:41.63 on the turf and survived a claim of foul by jockey Rosie Napravnik aboard runner-up International Star for interference. He paid $6.50, $3.80 and $3.10 as the 2-1 second choice in a field of eight juveniles.

International Star returned $5.10 and $4 for second, two lengths ahead of Nutty Futty, who paid $4.80 to show. The favorite Strong Coffee, Designed for War, Hot Tin Roof, Creaky Cricket and Kutuzov completed the order of finish in the $200,000 race.
