SEOUL, South Korea (AP) A South Korean court has issued a suspended two-year prison term to a baseball player for match-fixing.
The Changwon District Court says pitcher Lee Tae Yang, a starter for NC Dinos in the Korea Baseball Organization, was convicted Friday of deliberately allowing or attempting to allow walks in certain innings in four games last season.
The court says a broker involved in the match-fixing scheme was also sentenced to one year in prison.
Prosecutors previously indicted another baseball player for receiving money and gifts from the broker for connecting him with Lee.

The 23-year-old Lee enjoyed a breakout season for the Dinos in 2015, going 10-5 as a starter to help the team reach the playoffs.
