Stanley Cup to appear at Dodger Stadium
The Stanley Cup is heading to Dodger Stadium.
The Kings, who won the franchise's first Stanley Cup championship on Monday night with a 6-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils, will make an appearance prior to Wednesday's 7:10 p.m. series finale between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Members of the Kings will join both the Angels and Dodgers on the field for a special photo prior to the game and then throw out the ceremonial first pitch to the first-place Dodgers.
The LA Kings were the first No. 8 seed to win the Stanley Cup, defeating the top-ranked Vancouver Canucks in five games, sweeping the St. Louis Blues and then advancing to the franchise's first Stanley Cup Final since 1993 with a five-game win over the Phoenix Coyotes to set up the Kings six-game win over the Devils.
