ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Hawks are planning a party to tip off the 2014-15 season.

Built around a rematch of last season's playoff series against the Indiana Pacers, the Hawks are bringing in Grammy Award-winning recording artist Tip "T.I." Harris to highlight the celebration of their Saturday, Nov. 1 home opener. All of T.I.'s performances will air on SportSouth.

"I think everybody needs to come out and make it their business to support the Hawks and support the city," T.I. said in a statement released by the team. "I will be performing at the pregame show, the halftime and the postgame as well; all for the people who come to support my team, the Atlanta Hawks, and my city. We gotta set it off with a celebration."

Fans entering Philips Arena before 7 p.m. will receive $10 in Hawks Bucks and will be able to catch three performances from T.I. in a pregame concert. He will also perform at halftime and in postgame. The Atlanta native will also assist PA announcer Ryan Cameron with pregame player introductions.

"I think everybody needs to come out and make it their business to support the Hawks and support the city," T.I. said. "I will be performing at the pregame show, the halftime and the postgame as well; all for the people who come to support my team, the Atlanta Hawks, and my city. We gotta set it off with a celebration."

Fans will also receiver T-shirts and other potential prizes.

The team also announced that the team's ticket prices have been reduced to "the most fan-friendly and affordable" rates in Hawks history.

"We are beyond excited to partner with a superstar like T.I. and put on a first-class event to kick off the season and celebrate our city," CEO Steve Koonin said. "We can't wait to Pound the Pacers and put on a show for the city of Atlanta like they've never seen before at a basketball game."
