Phantom Cam's traveling technology appears occasionally on Indians' telecasts on SportsTime Ohio. It adds so much to the broadcast, it's a shame it can't be utilized more often. The technology is fascinating.
Real-time video is shown at 30 frames per second and standard slow-motion replays are at 350 to 400 frames per second. SportsTime Ohio's X-Mo system is shown on every Indians game. It shoots at 1,000 to 2,000 frames per second, much faster than the standard system. It also uses standard HD television cameras so there is more versatility in presenting shots.
