Michigan State received an oral commitment Sunday from a three-star defensive lineman, moving the Spartans into the top-25 in Scout.com's rankings.

Brandon Clemons, a 6-foot-4, 265-pound three-star recruit from Milford, Pa., picked MSU over Boston College, Connecticut and Maryland.

Michigan State now has the No. 24 recruiting class in the nation, third in the Big Ten behind Ohio State (No. 3) and Nebraska (No. 23).

Clemons made seven sacks and blocked six field-goal attempts as a senior, according to Scout.com.

The Spartans have 20 oral commitments. Players can begin signing official letters of intent on Feb. 2.
