CENTURION, South Africa (AP) JP Duminy finished the game with successive sixes as South Africa beat India by six wickets in the second Twenty20 international on Wednesday to set up a series decider.

The last game of India's two-month tour will now settle the three-game T20 series, and also might decide who takes more from the teams' battle across three formats.

South Africa won the test series 2-1, but India convincingly took the ODI contest 5-1.

Duminy carried the Proteas home in the must-win T20 game at SuperSport Park, smashing a six over mid-wicket and then another over wide long-on to finish 64 not out and lead his team to its target of 189 with six wickets and eight balls to spare.

With Duminy hitting his 64 from 40 balls and Heinrich Klaasen 69 from 30, South Africa finished on 189-4.

India overcame a troubled start to finish strongly in its innings after being put in by South Africa.

Rohit Sharma was out for a first-ball duck and Virat Kohli made 1 before Manish Pandey's career-best 79 not out and the experienced Mahendra Singh Dhoni's 52 not out took the visitors to a competitive total.

Those two combined for an unbeaten 98-run stand off just 56 deliveries to set South Africa a tough challenge.
