Sooners practice video sends mixed message

It all depends on how you want to look at it.

But either way, it didn't look good for Jordan Phillips.

Check out this video below that was released by the Oklahoma football Twitter feed, @OU_Football.

The Sooners are already questionable on the defensive line after losing a pair of ends and without a proven starter. Phillips, a 6-foot-6 sophomore tackle from Towanda, Kan., played in 11 games last year on the defensive line and is expected to be OU's most athletic, physical lineman.

Ford is a freshman running back from Cypress, Texas, and isn't really considered to be in the mix this season, although after he ran over Phillips, maybe Ford will get another look.

Again, it's all about how you look it -- Ford looks really good, or the defensive line is a bigger issue than most even thought. The oddest thing is why OU would release this video.

Relax for now, though, glass-half-empty folks.

Coach Bob Stoops said, "Don't read too much into it."
