Shh She's Ours wins $75,000 Desert Stormer II at Santa Anita

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) Shh She's Ours led all the way to win the $75,000 Desert Stormer II Stakes for fillies and mares by 1 1/4 lengths Sunday at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Victor Espinoza, Shh She's Ours ran six furlongs in 1:07.75 and paid $29.60, $4 and $3.20 at 13-1 odds.

Sensitively returned $2.20 and $2.10 as the 1-2 favorite whose three-race winning streak ended. Brazil-bred Juno was another 4 1/4 lengths back in third and paid $3.20 to show in her U.S. debut.

Shh She's Ours won her fourth in a row for trainer Jim Cassidy.

''She's getting really good,'' Espinoza said. ''Before her biggest problem was that she was so tense and she wanted to go as fast as she could but she was doing it tensed up. She's learned how to relax and save more for the end. She's so fast. I have to sit on her and just take a hold of that mane because she comes out of there like a rocket.''

The victory, worth $47,580, increased Shh She's Ours' career earnings to $176,790, with five wins in nine starts.
