Caleb Wilson's presence was certainly missed Friday night. The Serra basketball team fell to Cathedral, 82-63, in a Del Rey League contest.
Wilson, the basketball player, wasn't available Friday night because Wilson, the football player, was at practice for the 2015 West Coast Bowl.
The Serra quarterback/tight end will lace them up for former NFL All-Pro Terrell Owens and Team IMPACT when they take on the Randy Moss-led Team SPEED squad on Sunday at Warren High School at 3pm. The game will be streamed live on FOXSports.com in addition to being available on the FOX Sports GO app.
It's certain to be an interesting next couple of weeks for Wilson leading up to National Signing Day.
Wilson is scheduled to line up at tight end in Sunday's game.
He's currently committed to Old Dominion as a quarterback, but he's receiving interests from Power 5 schools as a tight end.

It's safe to say he's keeping his options open.
"I feel like if another opportunity comes where I could play tight end at a high level I'd definitely consider it," Wilson admitted.
Wilson transferred to Serra from Georgia before the start of the 2014 season after his father was named the defensive line coach at USC. At the start of the season, the Cavaliers used a two-quarterback system with Wilson and junior Khalil Tate.
Shortly after the midway point in the season, Wilson made the move to tight end full-time and ended up turning some heads along the way.
Despite not being a full-time tight end at the start of the season, he led the team in touchdown receptions with seven.

"I was blocking quite a bit (at first) but (Serra head coach Scott Altenberg) gave me a lot of opportunities to be a mismatch," Wilson said. "It was a smooth fit for me."
He says he's heard from USC, Michigan, Colorado and Colorado State recently about playing tight end but discussions have been "nothing too serious."
USC is interesting because Wilson could technically join the Trojans as a walk-on because his father his on the staff.
There could be a lot to digest for Wilson between now and Feb. 4.
"Right now (Old Dominion is) where my plans are to go," Wilson said. "Signing Day is right around the corner but if another opportunity comes forth where it's a no-brainer situation I'd take it into consideration. But as for right now, I'm committed to Old Dominion."
