Ryan Bowie leads UTSA over Texas A&M-CC 73-60

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) -- Ryan Bowie scored 20 points Monday night, and UTSA overcame a first-half deficit and pulled away for a 73-60 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

The Roadrunners (4-4) trailed 29-25 at the break, but took the lead for good at 36-34 on Jeromie Hill's 3-pointer with 16:49 to go.

Bowie followed with back-to-back 3-pointers and UTSA led by as many as 19 before A&M-CC (3-5) cut back into the lead in the last five minutes. Bowie had 14 second-half points.

Keon Lewis was 13 of 15 from the foul line and added 19 points for UTSA. Kaj-Bjorn Sherman added 11 points and seven boards while Hill had 10 and eight.

John Jordan had 21 points and Rashawn Thomas scored 18 to lead the Islanders, who shot 1 of 9 from 3-point range in the second half.
