Royals option Gore to Double-A Northwest Arkansas

Shortly after losing their home opener to Oakland, the Kansas City Royals announced they had optioned speedy outfielder/pinch-run specialist Terrance Gore to their Double-A affiliate, the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.

No move was announced to fill Gore's spot on the 25-man roster.

Gore entered a game for the first time this season Monday, serving as a pinch runner for Salvador Perez in the ninth inning. He was stranded at first base when Brandon Moss struck out to end the game.
