Royals manager Yost owes a lot to his late friend Dale Earnhardt

Kansas City Royals manager Ned Yost is heading to the World Series. On Thursday, Yost - an avid NASCAR fan and good friend of the late Dale Earnhardt - made an appearance on SiriusXM's NASCAR Radio.

Speaking with host and former No. 3 team crew member Danny "Chocolate" Myers, Yost talked about what he learned from "The Indimidator" ... a man he first met on a hunting trip in the 1980s.

The segment even included a surprise call from "Clint from Emporia." Wonder who that could be?

Game 1 between the Royals and San Francisco Giants is scheduled for Tuesday at 7:30 p.m ET on FOX.
