Royals' home opener will feature special pregame ceremony

Get ready for some baseball, Kansas City. 

The Royals released details of a special extended Opening Day pregame ceremony prior to Monday's matchup against the White Sox. Pregame events include a ring presentation for members of the 2014 American League championship team and the raising of the AL pennant. Stadium gates will open at 1 p.m. and fans are encouraged to be seated by 2 p.m. in order to watch the festivities.

2:48 p.m. -- Chicago White Sox introduction
