Royals call up Brooks, send down Finnegan in pitcher swap

The Kansas City Royals announced Wednesday that they recalled right-handed pitcher Aaron Brooks from Omaha and optioned left-handed pitcher Brandon Finnegan to the Triple A club.
Brooks, 25, served as the 26th man for Tuesday's split doubleheader. He has made a pair of relief appearances this year for Kansas City, allowing three earned runs and striking out three batters over 4 1/3 innings. He has gone 5-4 with a 3.59 ERA and 77 strikeouts in 82 2/3 innings for the Storm Chasers.
