The Internet is such a mixed bag of bad and good. This is a strong example of good.

Someone went back and found this clip of Rowdy Roddy Piper pumping up a Madison Square Garden crowd during a 1986 WWF event that took place after the Mets had dropped the first two games of the World Series to the Red Sox.

The Hot Rod, who was a babyface during this time, played up to the New York crowd and implored them not to give up on the Mets.

Of course, we all know how things turned out during that World Series thanks to some magic in Game 6.
