Ron Artest receives new set of wheels on late night talk show

Any time he saw comedian George Lopez sit courtside at a Lakers game, forward Ron Artest motioned his hands as if he were operating a steering wheel.
The ongoing joke stemmed from Lopez's promising Artest in an appearance on "Lopez Tonight" after the Lakers secured the 2010 NBA championship that he would buy Artest a new car. But this was hardly just an inside joke. Artest appeared on Lopez's show Wednesday to find out Lopez really meant what he said.
Lopez presented to Artest a new ride that featured purple and gold rims and brakes, Laker colors on the interior and seating and bright yellow headlights. It also featured a surround-sound system blasting "Go Loco," a newly released single the two did together on Artest's Ball'n mixtape. And, Lopez joked, the seats recline "in case you need a little therapy."
There was no catch to this, with exception of a warning that every Laker fan would express.
"If you leave L.A," Lopez said, "the car stays in L.A."
"We ain't going nowhere," Artest quickly answered, perhaps a relief considering the numerous reports suggesting the Lakers wanted to trade him.
"Bring back another championship," Lopez then concluded.
