Romo eager to see how Cowboys stack up against Super Bowl champs
IRVING, Texas -- There's no better measuring stick for a team than to play against the best, and that's exactly what the 4-1 Cowboys are getting this week in the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.
The Cowboys have exceeded most expectations to this point, but how they perform at against the reigning champs in one of the NFL's most NFL difficult en-vironment could give the best indicator of where they stand.
"One game isn't going to define your season at this point," quarterback Tony Romo said Wednesday. "However, there are very important games and you know this game is a game that is a great test for us. It's going to be good to see our team come out with great energy, with great enthusiasm and really see how we stack up.
"Normally, no one stacks up very well there against them. I'm anxious to see how we do."
The Seahawks have won 17 of their last 18 home games, with a plus-297 point differential and a plus-26 turnover margin.
Since winning the Super Bowl, the 3-1 Seahawks also know that they have become a measuring stick for other teams.
"I definitely think so," Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson said in a conference call with Dallas media. "I think teams play at a very high level against us and we need to play our best football.
"What it comes down to is we can't focus on what everybody else is doing, we have to focus on what we're doing. If we can play better, if we can fix things, if we can play at a higher level. We definitely can, that's the exciting thing about us. We can play even better."
