Roddy White isn't happy about criticism of Aldon Smith

BY foxsports • September 22, 2013

By Ross Jones, FOXSports.com While 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith will be spending an “indefinite” amount of time away from the team facility to enter a rehab facility, supporters of his have begun to emerge. Falcons wide receiver Roddy White somewhat defended Smith, 23, who was arrested Friday on suspicion of DUI. And what's more, he did it by levying a stunning accusation at who we can only assume to be ESPN personalities Keyshawn Johnson, Tom Jackson and Cris Carter — all former players, including Carter who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame last month.

Clearly, Smith has a problem he hopes to correct. While White makes an interesting point about a lot of people getting away with drinking and driving, this isn’t Smith’s first run-in with the law. Let's hope that Smith can move forward from this incident and be back on the field playing at his Pro Bowl level. Questions? Comments?
