Rock royalty Joan Jett entertains Tropicana Field
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Rock royalty graced Tropicana Field on Saturday.
The Tampa Bay Rays have hosted a number of memorable acts as part of their Summer Concert Series in recent years. But it would be hard to find a more active performer than Joan Jett, who added throwing out the first pitch and announcing batters during the Rays' contest against the Toronto Blue Jays to her vocal responsibilities postgame.

Joan Jett & the Blackhearts were the third act in the Rays' Summer Concert Series this year, following Weezer and The O'Jays.

Versatility is good.
Versatility with an edge? Even better.
Joan Jett's doing pretty well announcing batters. I think she has a future behind a microphone. #Rays
