Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski caught his 69th career touchdown pass on Sunday, passing Stanley Morgan for the franchise record. He wasn’t too concerned about the record, though, for him it’s all about reaching his favorite number—69.
You know who else was excited? Gronk’s mom. He gave her a shoutout in his postgame press conference.
“The first thing yesterday—we sat down, I saw her—she came to my hotel with everyone,” Gronkowski said. “We sat down and she goes, ‘Rob, I’m so proud of you when you score your 69th touchdown.’”
