Rivers vs. Ryan in ACC Greatest Player Tourney; Clemson dominates
A showdown of two of the biggest names to come out of the conference in the past 15 years takes center stage in the ACC Gridiron LIVE Greatest Player Tournament as NC State's Philip Rivers and Boston College's meet in the second round.
Along with a matchup of the Bobby Bowden Region's No. 3 (Rivers) and No. 11 (Ryan) seeds, this week's eight votable matchups also includes two top seeds in action as North Carolina's Lawrence Taylor meets Florida State's Bjoern Werner, the No. 9 seed, in the Bobby Dodd Region, while Bowden top seed Chris Weinke (Florida State) meets another Seminoles great in eighth-seeded Warrick Dunn.

In last week's parings, Clemson continued to make its presence felt, delivering a pair of upsets as No. 7 seed Gaines Adams knocked off second-seeded Dre' Bly of North Carolina in the defense's Frank Howard Region and Joe Bostic took out No. 4 seed Peter Warrick (Florida State) in the offense's John Heisman Region.
The Tigers had four players advance in all, with No. 14 seed Sammy Watkins -- a winner over another Clemson product in sixth-seeded Steve Fuller -- and fifth-seeded Michael Dean Perry -- who knocked out Florida State's Peter Boulware, a 13th seed -- also moving on.
