Reports: Expect Heat to wear sleeved jerseys on Christmas
It appears the Miami Heat will have something up their sleeves Christmas Day.
The South Florida Sun Sentinel say it has confirmed the Heat will wear jerseys with sleeves in their Christmas Day game against the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center.
The newspaper said Miami will wear sleeves one other time this season after avoiding them in the NBA's initial venture last season and during the past summer league action, in which the majority of teams wore sleeves.
ESPN.com first reported this year's sleeved jerseys will show a team logo on the front and not uniform numbers. Each player's name and number will remain on the back.
The Heat are currently scheduled to wear 10 different uniform varieties during the regular season.
The NBA went with a "Big Color" theme for the monochromatic Christmas Day jerseys last season. The Sun-Sentinel said this year's theme is expected to be "Big Logo."
