Report: Wisconsin's Taylor added to NBA combine

It appears former University of Wisconsin point guard Jordan Taylor is headed to the NBA pre-draft combine, after all.

According to multiple media reports, Taylor received word over the weekend from his agent, former NBA guard B.J. Armstrong, that he was a late addition to the prestigious event. The combine takes place Thursday and Friday in Chicago.

Originally, Taylor was left off the list of 60 players invited to Chicago, though several other fringe prospects -- including -- Iona's Scott Machado, UC Santa Barbara's Orlando Johnson and Norfolk State's Kyle O'Quinn -- did receive invites.

An invitation to the predraft combine doesn't guarantee the 6-foot-1, 195-pound Taylor will be selected in the two-round NBA draft on June 28. But it at least means he is among those in the conversation to be drafted, perhaps late in the second round.

The combine doesn't feature any games. It will have drills, athletic and medical testing and interviews with NBA teams. Taylor already has worked out for Golden State, Sacramento, Chicago and Milwaukee. He also reportedly has workouts scheduled with Toronto, Phoenix and New York and could also work out for Cleveland and San Antonio.

Taylor is the all-time NCAA leader in assists-to-turnovers ratio at 3.01. Last season, he averaged 14.8 points, 4.1 assists and 3.8 rebounds, leading the Badgers to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament.

Marquette's Jae Crowder and Darius Johnson-Odom were among those on the original list invited to the workouts in Chicago.
