We all know athletes make gobs and gobs of money, especially NBA superstars. It's difficult for regular Joes to contextualize what $10,000 means to somebody like Kevin Durant.
So how about $1 million?
According to a CBS report, that's how much Durant donated to the Red Cross to help victims of Monday's tornado that ransacked Moore, Okla.
$1 million.
Durant is in the middle of an $86 million contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder, and of course, there is all the endorsement money as well.
Sure, he can afford it, but that's still $1 million. That's not exactly throwaway money. That's sacrifice.
