Report: French team angles for Beckham
Rumors that David Beckham's stint in US soccer is set to end intensified Wednesday when reports claimed French team Paris Saint-Germain has already ordered 20,000 jerseys bearing his name.
The former England captain, 36, is mulling an offer to join the big-spending Ligue 1 outfit when his contract with the LA Galaxy runs out in November.
And the Paris club's owner, Qatar Sport, is apparently so confident of securing the midfielder's services it has already placed a massive bulk order with Nike for Beckham-branded shirts, according to French radio station RTL.
The report will likely rile Galaxy fans, as the franchise is still trying to agree to a new contract with its star player.
Beckham joined the MLS in 2007 after establishing himself as one of the word's best players while representing Manchester United, Real Madrid and England.
