Rays third baseman Evan Longoria leaves game after being struck on wrist

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) -- Tampa Bay Rays slugger Evan Longoria has a bruised left wrist after getting hit by a pitched ball.

Longoria left in the fifth inning of Monday night's game against Washington after being struck by Taylor Hill's pitch.

The Rays said X-rays were negative and that Longoria is day to day.
