The upcoming Major League Baseball All-Star Series in Japan will include Tampa Bay Rays flavor.

Third baseman Evan Longoria and utility man Ben Zobrist were added to the roster Friday for the five-game series against Japan's national team. MLB All-Stars and "other accomplished Major Leaguers," per an MLB press release, will take part in the event, the 11th of its kind and the first since 2006. Overall, this will mark the 36th occasion that a team of major leaguers has played in Japan for exhibition games, dating back to 1908.

The five-game series will include a single game each in Osaka (Nov. 12) and Sapporo (Nov. 18), plus three contests in Tokyo (Nov. 14-16). The MLB team will also play exhibition games in Koshien (Nov. 11) and in Okinawa (Nov. 20).
