When you set a Major League record for players used with 64 sometimes one or two can be forgotten.

But as much as some people want to forget about the 2014 season it's not going to happen. Neither is forgetting about any of the 64 players who wore a Texas uniform this season. Here they are in order ranked by their contribution to the club.

And if you feel bad for forgetting about a player or 10, don't worry. There were members of the Texas coaching staff that couldn't remember all 64.

1. 3B Adrian Beltre - It's really no contest either as Beltre was the only consistent offensive player from Opening Day until September and continued to lead off the field as well.

2. 2B Rougned Odor - Loss of Jurickson Profar to injury opened up the door for the 20-year-old, who now appears to be the second baseman of what could be a very bright future.

3. RHP Colby Lewis - The least likely member of the rotation to lead the club in wins, starts and innings pitched did just that in 2014 and he did so with an artificial hip.

4. RHP Shawn Tolleson - Most effective reliever in the bullpen and the most consistent as he was there from Opening Day and led relievers with a 2.76 ERA.

5. C Robinson Chirinos - No doubt the most improved Rangers player as he'll have inside track to everyday job in 2015 after improvement at plate and behind it.

6. RHP Yu Darvish - Another All-Star season for Darvish came to an end because of elbow inflammation but he still had 10 wins, a 3.06 ERA and team high 182 strikeouts.

7. RHP Joakim Soria - Sure he was gone in July but he was effective as the Texas closer and then netted Rangers two solid pitching prospects in deal with Tigers. Rangers hope his 2014 contributions will be felt for years to come.

8. OF Leonys Martin - Maybe the September Martin will be the player the Rangers hoped he'd be when they signed him as he showed leadoff potential to go along with plus arm.

9. RHP Scott Baker - Did everything the Rangers could ask him to do as a pitcher and even came back after being designated for assignment. Held bullpen/rotation together as jack of all trades.

10. OF Alex Rios - Power numbers dropped but he hit for average and was effective enough for an offense that struggled to find any consistency.

11. RHP Nick Martinez - Rookie won just five games but got better as the season went on and made 24 starts after never pitching above Double A.

12. RHP Nick Tepesch - The other Nick dominated at Triple A and then came up and made 22 starts and like Martinez, got strong as the season went on.

13. LHP Neal Cotts - Leader in appearances couldn't repeat his dominant 2013 form but was still most effective lefty in the bullpen.

14. SS Elvis Andrus - Down year by Andrus standards and he is the first to admit it. Is committed to not letting a season like 2014 happen again.

15. OF Daniel Robertson - Rangers made trade with San Diego out of outfield desperation and Robertson ended up parlaying that into 70 big-league games.

16. RHP Neftali Feliz - Club has to hope that Feliz has regained his old closer form as the role appears to be his heading into 2015 after a strong end to the season.

17. OF Shin-Soo Choo - A flop of a first year after signing huge contract but Rangers have to hope injuries played a role in big drop off in production.

18. OF Jake Smolinki - The fact that he's this high on list says all you need to know about 2014 but he hit for average and power in his time.

19. OF Ryan Rua - Versatility could be a huge factor for Rua in 2015 and it didn't hurt that he showed he could hit for power and average with team.

20. LHP Derek Holland - Injury got the season started off on ominous tone but was dominant in return and will be one of team's top starters in 2015.

21. RHP Roman Mendez - Showed power arm and could be a key piece in back end of Texas bullpen.

22. RHP Phil Klein - Big Phil was tough on right-handers and pitched his way into 2015 conversation.

23. LHP Martin Perez - A what-could-have-been season ended with Tommy John surgery after four wins and now has Rangers hoping about what can still be.

24. 2B Luis Sardinas - Another bring part of the Rangers infield future got to play in 43 games and is just 21.

25. C Chris Gimenez - Good guy was solid behind plate and first base before getting lost in a numbers game.

26. INF Adam Rosales - Showed he can play anywhere and could find a spot in the 2015 roster.

27. RHP Lisaverto Bonilla - Intriguing pitching option won first three starts and is a piece of the Michael Young trade with Phillies.

28. LHP Alex Claudio - Change-up specialist with funky delivery showed well in small sample size (15 games).

29. RHP Jason Frasor - Was decent in the bullpen once again and gets bonus points for added contribution of helping bring in Spencer Patton.

30. RHP Miles Mikolas - Showed flashes of rotation potential before workload led to arm issues that ended season.

31. OF Michael Choice - Local product returned home after offseason trade but hasn't shown he can hit at big-league level.

32. LHP Michael Kirkman - Maybe he's finally found his role as a lefty specialist.

33. C J.P. Arencibia - Will say that numbers when he got a chance to play every day were solid. Numbers will say otherwise.

34. LHP Robbie Ross - Rotation member when season started wound up forgotten bullpen piece after spending part of season in Triple A.

35. RHP Spencer Patton - Could be a bullpen piece moving forward as he had a 0.96 ERA in nine outings with club in September.

36. 1B Prince Fielder - Club has to hope and pray that his drastic dropoff was due the disc problem that ended his season after 150 at-bats.

37. 1B Mitch Moreland - Everyday DH role changed to everyday first baseman role after Prince Fielder injury but ankle reconstruction surgery cost him his season.

38. 3B Kevin Kouzmanoff - Was a huge bright spot early on before a back injury ended his season with a .362 average.

39. RHP Alexi Ogando - Inability to stay healthy continues to plague Ogando, who was limited to 27 games.

40. C Tomas Telis - Has played himself into the conversation as a big-league option next year after hitting .250 with eight RBI in just 18 games.

41. OF Jim Adduci - Injuries killed his shot at being the fourth outfielder—type player the club was hoping for.

42. INF Donnie Murphy - Showed a little bop with four homers but didn't hit enough (.196) to stick.

43. INF Josh Wilson - Utility man helped some in April but didn't hit enough (.239) to stick.

44. RHP Tanner Scheppers - This is about contributions and Scheppers didn't make many to the big league club despite being the Opening Day starter. Should be back as effective bullpen member next season.

45. LHP Aaron Poreda - Plenty of velocity in Triple A but was erratic in 26 outings with the Rangers.

46. LHP Pedro Figueroa - Was the club leader in wins with two before being lost for season to Tommy John surgery.

47. INF Guilder Rodriguez - No one will ever be able to take away the night in September in which he had his first big-league hit and the game-winning RBI after 14 years in the minors with his dad watching.

48. RHP Nate Adcock - Pitched 10 innings in seven not-awful outings but did allow two homers and 11 hits.

49. 1B Brad Snyder - Club was desperate enough to try and make the outfielder a first baseman and he showed pop in 10 games with two homers.

50. C Geovany Soto - Injuries cost him every day catching spot and he was eventually dealt to Oakland for cash.

51. RHP Jerome Williams - Journeyman came up and beat Oakland in his first start but then was awful in his second and final start with club and ended season with the Phillies.

52. RHP Jon Edwards - Metroplex native got in nine games over final six weeks and posted a 4.32 ERA.

53. RHP Ben Rowen - His deceptive delivery helped get him to the majors where he pitched in eight games and had a 4.15 ERA.

54. RHP Seth Rosin - Had the honor of being on two Opening Day rosters as he was in Australia with Dodgers before getting claimed on waivers by Rangers.

55. 1B Mike Carp - Gets the edge over Pena because he had twice as many RBI (4) as Pena did in his failed effort at first base.

56. 1B Carlos Pena - Has the dishonor of being lowest-ranked position player after hitting .136 in 18 games as one of 11 guys trotted out at first base.

57. LHP Matt Harrison - Made his way back from two back surgeries only to be lost again to what could be career-ending surgery. Hopes to start throwing again in January.

58. LHP Joe Saunders - Opening Day rotation member went 0-5 in eight starts with the club before sent packing.

59. RHP Ryan Feierabend - Worked his way back to majors after six-year absence but allowed 12 hits in 7 1/3 innings of work.

60. RHP Matt West - Former second-round pick as an infielder in 2007 finally made it to the majors as a pitcher in July and was non-descript in three appearances.

61. RHP Hector Noesi - Started the year bad for Seattle and ended it okay for the White Sox but his three April outings for the Rangers were dreadful, highlighted by a seven run, one-inning stint.

62. RHP Justin Germano - Journeyman was a feel-good story but not-so-good pitcher in two May outings as he surrendered seven runs in 5 1/3 innings.

63. RHP Phil Irwin - Called up for a July 8 start against Houston and lost the game and was released from Triple A in August.

64. RHP Daniel McCutchen - Could be answer to trivia question one day as he was a member of the Opening Day roster and pitched in one game, allowing a homer and three runs in 2 1/3 innings.
