The Rangers finalized their Opening Day roster by purchasing the contracts of LHP Robbie Ross and infielder Alberto Gonzalez. The also put right-hander Yoshi Tateyama on the 15-day disabled list with a lower back strain, retroactive to March 30.
The club also assignd Neal Cotts to Round Rock and put him on the disabled list.
To make room on the 40-man roster, the club designated right-hander Cody Eppley for assignment.
The Rangers also signed veteran right-hander Aaron Heilman to a minor-league deal.
