SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Left-hander Edgar Olmos, who was picked up from Seattle on a waiver claim, is being returned to the Mariners as Major League Baseball is reversing the claim.
Olmos played catch for one day with the Rangers before being sidelined because of a sore shoulder. Although his locker has been cleaned out, Olmos is technically still on the Texas 40-man roster but he will officially be returned to Seattle in the next 48 hours.
Olmos will have his shoulder evaluated by the Seattle medical staff. He was claimed by the Rangers Feb. 24.
