Rangers release spring training schedule
The Texas Rangers will open spring-training play March 4 with a game against the defending American League champion Kansas City Royals.
That game kicks off a 34-game spring slate for the Rangers, including 30 in Arizona.
The Rangers will play two games against the Los Angeles Dodgers in San Antonio March 20-21 and two games against the New York Mets at Globe Life Park April 3-4.
Texas will play 16 of its 30 games at Surprise Stadium, including three against the Royals. Two of those games will be night games, with those coming March 23 vs. Cincinnati and March 26 vs. Colorado. All other home games start at 1:05 p.m. mountain time.
